Vaccination Update

Our flu clinics were busier than ever this year and we would like to thank our Patient Participation group and additional volunteers for supporting these clinics.

If you are over 65 years of age, have a long-term condition affecting your health, are a carer for a vulnerable person/people, are pregnant or otherwise qualify for a free NHS flu vaccination, please contact us to make an appointment with a nurse for your flu vaccination.

Patients over 65 years or under 65 with other chronic conditions may also be eligible for a pneumococcal vaccination – this is generally a one-off vaccination.

Patients over 70 years and under 80 years may qualify for a shingles vaccination which protects against this painful condition.

Please contact reception to if you are not sure whether you qualify for these immunisations and to make an appointment with a nurse for any vaccinations.

DNA -Did Not Attend!

In September 2019, 35 people did not turn up for their booked appointments.

This represents over 8 hours of doctor or nurse time.

If you cannot attend, please let us know so that we can offer the slot to another patient

We would also like to know how you think the health and care system can support you further to look after yourself.

Your feedback is really valuable to us – this survey will take less than ten minutes to complete.

Deadline to complete the survey is Friday 21 November 2019.
