COVID-19 VACCINATION CLINICS

where are we up to? and who is next?

Patients will be invited to attend a booked appointment at Wigton Hospital. Vaccine supplies are limited and all appointments are pre-arranged to match exactly the amount of vaccine available at that site on that day.

Below is a breakdown of how we are working through the Covid-19 vaccination clinical priority groups, as advised by NHS England:

Priority Group 1 – Residents in a care home for older adults, and their carers (staff)

Group 2 – All those aged 80 years and over.

Group 3 – All those aged 75 years and over.

Everyone in these categories should have now been contacted.

Group 4 – All those aged 70 years and over and those classed as Clinically Extremely Vulnerable will be contacted in the next two weeks. Approximately half our patients in this group have already received their first dose of a vaccination. We will be contacting the rest in the next few days.

Priority Groups 5 to 9 – will follow in due course once we have been advised by NHS England.

Thank you to all our patients for working with us through this difficult time by allowing us to call you when it is your turn.
