Thank you to all our patients who answered feedback questionnaires after appointments in November and December. The reports complied from feedback questionnaires are always circulated to all the staff and any suggestions or complaints that are anonymously submitted in this way are reviewed by the management team to see where we can make improvements to our systems and services to patients.
We know not all patients are reassured by being asked the reasons for making an appointment and the triaging which happens at this point but this is an important step in making sure you are seen by the most appropriate health-care professional in a suitable time frame and this process is common at most practices. If you prefer not to give personal information at this point just indicate to the receptionist that the matter is confidential.
With COVID cases still rising, telephone appointments are preferred as the first contact with GPs, to avoid bringing more people into the surgery and placing staff and other patients at risk of infection. Our building is small and we must continue to be mindful of observing social distancing.
