Practices in the area are taking part in a six month community pharmacy UTI pilot.
This is enabling participating pharmacists across the North East and North Cumbria to treat women, aged 16-64, with urinary tract infections (UTIs) without the need for a GP appointment or prescription, providing a more convenient option and faster access to treatment.
